Honor of Kings: World is live in China — launch recap for global players
Honor of Kings: World launched in mainland China on April 10, 2026 for PC, with the Android and iOS versions following on April 17. It is an open-world action RPG set in the Honor of Kings universe — a completely different genre from the MOBA, built around real-time action combat, exploration and multiplayer content.
The launch version features familiar heroes from the franchise reimagined for action combat, large explorable zones, world bosses such as the Crimson Beast, and life-sim elements including housing and non-combat careers.
Monetization in the CN version centers on cosmetics — skins and appearance items obtained through a gacha system — rather than pulling playable characters. Whether the global version keeps this model is not yet confirmed.
For global players, the practical takeaway: the game overseas audiences will eventually receive already exists and is being battle-tested at scale in China. Every system, hero and event that ships in CN is a preview of what the global version will contain — and that is exactly the coverage this site provides.
